Union Station in Los Angeles, CA - While taking these photos, I talked with a custodian who told me that as a young soldier, his father had waited in these exact same chairs for his deployment to fight in World War Two. His family also waited in these chairs when he returned safely after the war. He was so taken by these events that he chose to work in Union Station. He said he felt his (now deceased) father's presence everyday. I didn't expect to hear a story like that, but I'm glad he told it to me. I did feel the 'history' of those chairs when I saw the rich wood and soft worn leather.
