Agree Don about the leg...you really feel these two buddies are just hanging out on a lazy summer afternoon. Just so enchanting. I have to say this is a big winner in my book!

Norma, I'm in total agreement with my good friend Diane. It's just a special thing, and your placement in what must be a rough, but wonderful home, and that fantastic window sill make even more so. I really love that leg hanging down like it is. How could you make it anymore natural? f/v

Ohhhh...this is just incredibly wonderful...love the tattered and well loved dolls to the weathered window sill and amazing light. I have voted and saved as a favorite.

Thanks so much. I didn't know if anyone would think the same way I do about this image...great to have it confirmed by your kind words.

Artist's Description

My mother-in-law, who is 88 years old was given these dolls on her 4th birthday. They were packed away in the old barn and forgotten many years ago. Time and weather had taken their toll, leaving them as you see here. I felt badly finding them in this state and wanted to honor them in these studies. Their hands have snaps on them so they can be snapped together to hold hands, which they have done for 84 years.

My goal is to create Fine Art Photographs. Fine Art Photographs are both technically excellent and artistically and emotionally inspired. When I take a photograph, I choose the best available composition and lighting. I control camera settings and which lens and other equipment to use. The camera records the scene. This is the beginning. For me, my creativity starts after the image is captured. I make changes to elements such as color, tonality, saturation. I might change the composition or remove unwanted items from the image. I may spend hours working on a photograph until the resulting image is an artistic representation of what inspired me to take the photograph. I strive to create photographs that convey the emotional...
